Stewart: Two Kinds of Service for Falls Volleyball Star
October 4, 2016
Menomonee Falls - Mackenzie Robertson comes by this naturally.
“We’re huge patriotic nerds,” her mother Felicia said. “We live in an imperfect America, but we served, we fought for our country. We are staunch patriots. We’re diehards.”
That’s the kind of household Robertson, a senior volleyball standout at Menomonee Falls, has grown up in. You serve. You help your fellow man.
Her mother spent eight years in the Air Force. So did her father, Troy. Her maternal grandfather served in the Air Force, too. Her father’s father was an Army man. Big sister Mikayla is a student at the Air Force Academy.
Is it any surprise that Robertson wants to follow in their footsteps?
